The Club experienced a sense of déjà vu in 2002, when, after a two year term, Peter Read relinquished the Presidency and Brian Waterer returned to the position he had, incredibly, occupied for a record twenty one seasons over two stints. A massive congratulations to Shannon Davies, who was formally inducted as a Life Member of the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club last Friday night!
Since first debuting for the Club in the 1999/2000 season, Shannon has established himself as the ultimate Leeming Spartan stalwart, accumulating an achievements list that is far and above what one could expect, and his induction as a Life Member is well and truly deserved.

Dave is a longtime servant of the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club, completing his first season in 1975. Since then, he has continued to rise to the occasion, having captained more often than not, and was pivotal off the field in the Club’s famous 1992 First Grade Grand Final victory.
