We’ve all seen the extensive number of supporters that the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club has been extremely fortunate in acquiring in season 2016/17, and now is the time to say thank you!
Incredibly, we have some of WA’s biggest and best organisations supporting the Club and our members this season, with names that roll off the tongue such as Gascoigne Leather, Crystal Finance, Courtside Multisports, Paramount Wealth, EES Shipping, Johns Building Supplies, Parkwood Plumbing, The Blooming Best, and Roadbend Jaguar to name but just a few!
National companies like LJ Hooker, Bendigo Bank, and Helloworld Travel are among the other hugely renowned businesses supporting the Spartans this season, and simply put, we cannot thank them enough!

This is thanks in part to a mammoth amount of work behind the scenes, but is also a testament to the culture and people at the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club, and we are extremely confident that this will extend to our Sponsors Day later this month!
So, we’re asking all members and friends of the Club to get down and show our support of our wonderful 2016/17 sponsors, say thank you, and get to know the faces of our biggest supporters.
The contribution they make year on year is unparalleled, and is the most significant reason as to why we can continue to enjoy low membership, cheap drinks, and great initiatives throughout the season!

With the Mitch Gillam Cup match taking place between a Leeming Spartan Cricket Club invitational eleven and members from the Bullcreek Leeming Amateur Football Club, it is the perfect opportunity to garner a 100-plus strong crowd and get our sponsors promoted through word of mouth!
So, get down to our 2017 Sponsors Day, meet our fantastic sponsors, learn about their business and the support they provide us, and, watch some highly entertaining T20 cricket!
The bar is open, lunches are available, and a lot of fun to be had!
Why Sunday?
Easy – by hosting our Sponsors Day on a Sunday outside of a regular season match, it allows all of our members the opportunity to come down and meet our sponsors.
Us Spartans would otherwise be playing matches all over the south metropolitan area, meaning we wouldn’t get a crowd anywhere near the size of what our supporters deserve!
Last year, we treated our Sponsors to a First Grade match that formed part of the regular SMCA season.
This worked because it was the standalone match against Cockburn, the only game played on that day.
Unfortunately however, this matchup was scrapped this season for reasons unknown. Even still, 2017 isn’t our year to host the match anyway, so it wouldn’t have been possible.
The Mitch Gillam Cup match is therefore the perfect opportunity to host both our members and sponsors, bringing them together on a day that is amongst the most significant on our calendar!
