With the regular season coming to a close, we are pleased to have two Spartan sides in Semi-Final action this weekend.

Our Sixth Grade (Third XI) and One Day A (Fourth XI) have both qualified for the Semi-Final stage of the season after both finishing fourth on their respective grades’ ladders after the final round of the season concluded on Saturday.

The Sixth Grade, captained by Adam Seaward will repeat their match-up from the One-Day Mid-Season Final taking the trip out to Frye Park in Kelmscott as they seek revenge from the minor premiers for their last clash which was a last over result in favour of the Bulldogs from the foothills. However, this match will be the two-day format with 65-overs per side played across both Saturday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, our One Day A side, lead by Neil Hewson will be out to avenge their last round defeat against ladder leaders East Fremantle with another clash, this time at Henry Jeffrey Reserve in East Fremantle. Both clubs were losing semi-finalists in this grade last summer, this season Spartans have different personnel in the form of our premiership winning One Day B side from last season. This contest will be the traditional 35-over per side match which is sure to be a high scoring thriller at the minor premier’s smaller home ground.

The club encourages all players who have finished their seasons to get down and show these Spartan’s their support across both days at both grounds and cheer them on to a place in their respective Grand Final’s next weekend across March 18th and 19th.

Congrats to both sides for making it this far and good luck on the weekend!
