The Leeming Spartan Cricket Club Committee has confirmed the fee structure for the 2020/21 season, which will be highlighted by a reduction in membership costs in the wake of COVID-19.
In 2020/21, the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club playing membership (which is compulsory for all players) will be just $50.00, down from the $75.00 it was last year.
This was a decision made due to the impact of the Coronavirus throughout this year, and is one that is hoped will best suit all members and players for this season. This move comes in addition to our free fully-catered dinner on Saturday October 10th which will serve as our end of season windup for the 2019/20 season – with all players and family members invited to a special night at John Connell Reserve. Full details regarding the free 2019/20 windup will be announced in the coming weeks.
Membership this year is now just $50.00 – once again making the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club the cheapest club to join in the competition.
The following Thursday will see our 2020/21 season launch and this will be highlighted by a Player’s Tea – a free dinner for all Club members.
The Playing Membership is a compulsory part of the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club as it not only entitles you to take to the field each week, it will also allow you service at our fully licensed bar (in accordance with our liquor license), the opportunity to enjoy our Player’s Tea, free hire of the clubrooms year round for personal functions, eligibility for selection in finals matches, and a whole lot more.
The Leeming Spartan Cricket Club continues to offer its popular Social Membership, which is being revamped this year into three categories. A non-playing membership is also available for the first time allowing those not wishing to take to the field the chance to be a member of the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club.
Additionally, our weekly match fees see no change in cost and will remain at $25.00 per week for all players.
The Leeming Spartan Cricket Club also announced recently that our 2019/20 Windup (for last season) will be going ahead and excitingly all tickets will be free of charge for a fully catered sit down meal at the clubrooms at John Connell Reserve on Saturday October 10th. This is an unprecedented occasion in Spartan history and will mark the first time this century that tickets to our end of season windup are completely free. As such it is likely to fill up fast and with limited seats it is important to let us know as soon as possible if you can make it. The website will publish an article in the coming days to confirm all the details and how to RSVP.
Purchases can be made in a number of ways, including on our online store (which is currently being updated to reflect the new prices), in person at the clubhouse during the season (via cash or preferably card), via our Spartan App or on match days.
