Hi All, this Covid update is some what more pleasing then my last, the ODA players have now all tested negative to their second test with the player that contracted Covid now back on deck and recovered, they are all set to be “free” on Sunday, but I have asked the Health Department to keep Hacky in for a couple more weeks. All other testing done by other players and families have also proved to be negative.
The support, thoughts and well wishers shown from not only within the Spartan Cricket family but the wider Cricket community has been over whelming, with one opposition Captain and his wife offering to make meals for the 11 players that are under lock down along with the club committee delivering support packages to their homes.
From a positive view point, it was very pleasing to see our players to immediately engage and undergo testing with others bringing forwarded their “jabs” and boosters. Our club certainly dodged a bullet as far as a full lockdown, but please be mindful that the Covid issue is alive and well and we need to be very diligent, wear masks as instructed, have your vaccination certificates at hand and if you feel the symptoms, please get tested.
