The SMCA Years (1996-2000)

An incredible chapter in Leeming Spartan Cricket Club history occurred in early 1996, when after an incredible sixty-seven years, the Club departed the Fremantle & Districts Mercantile Cricket Association, and joined the South Suburban Cricket Association, with the aim of a future merger between the two governing bodies.

Wacka’s Playing Records

Please see here the playing statistics of Bevan ‘Wacka’ James, Spartan Life Member inducted 1976 who sadly passed away last Wednesday.

Wacka holds the record number of wickets for the Club, having claimed a total of 635 since his debut for the Spartans in 1960.

Wacka’s funeral will commence at 12:45pm on Friday the 30th of June at the Fremantle Cemetery, with guests to meet at the entrance on Carrington Street. Life Members

The list of the Life Members of the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club, since our foundation in 1918.

The bestowment of Life Membership is the highest honour an individual can receive at the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club, and as such, it is awarded to only those who have dedicated years of service to furthering the Club’s success.
