After an extended hiatus, we’re now finally into our fourth edition in our “From The Spartan Archives” series, and today, we’re looking at an interesting albeit restricted chapter in Spartan Cricket Club history.

On what was a fantastic night that lasted well into the hours of Saturday morning, Callum Appleby marked the end of a fine season by taking home the Knox-Peden Young Spartan Award for 2016/17 at our Windup last Friday!
The newly renamed award – it was previously known as the Jack Knox-Peden Best Club Junior Award – is a just reward for Callum, who has had a fine season on and off the field.

Without doubt, this is the equivalent of a full-time job, and as such, the fine individuals who have served in the role deserve a special place in the history of the Club.
