Congratulations to Craig Pereira on being inducted as one of the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club’s Life Members for his years worth of service to the Club!

In front of friends, family, and 100 fellow Spartans, Craig was formally inducted into the Leeming Spartan Life Members list at our Club Windup on Friday April 1st 2016.

Craig was an obvious selection for Life Membership, which is the highest individual honour one can receive from the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club.

A regular at almost every function, training session, and social event for well over 10 years, Craig is truly deserving of the award, and is hands down one of the nicest people you will ever come across.

He is a true testament to the entire Club, and his dedication is unparalleled.

He has played in a number of First Grade premierships, including setting up the 2012-13 One Day flag with a massive 122 run opening stand, the same year in which he made a whopping 301 runs.

He also made an invaluable century against Maddington in First Grade earlier this year, continuing to cement his place as one of the Club’s greatest!

Craig’s work extends well beyond his highly successful playing career, the majority of which he has spent in the First Grade. He served as Treasurer for three consecutive seasons from 2006 to 2009, working closely with then Presidents Brian Waterer and John Ipsen.

His efforts in all areas of the Club, both on and off the field, can never be fully appreciated, and the incredible amount of time he has dedicated to the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club has ensured that we will continue on well beyond our 100th anniversary!

Craig is certainly one of the legends of the Club, and is thoroughly deserving of a Life Membership award. Congratulations mate, and we can’t wait to see what is in store for 2016/17!
