Congratulations to the newly elected Leeming Spartan Cricket Club Committee for 2026 following Sunday’s AGM.
We are pleased to welcome Sam Pitkethley and Brendan Shepherdson as new Committee Members, and thank all continuing members for putting their hand up to help lead our great club into another exciting season.
The Club also extends its sincere thanks to our outgoing and retiring Committee Members — Paul Kalleske, Andrew D’Angelo and Jodie Rennie — for their outstanding service and commitment to Leeming Spartan over many years.
All three have previously been recognised as Best Club Person recipients, a reflection of the incredible contribution they have each made to our club.
A special acknowledgement goes to Paul Kalleske, who steps down after nearly nine years as Vice President.
Paul’s commitment, leadership and dedication have played a critical role in the Club’s success over many seasons, and we are deeply grateful for everything he has done.
We also thank last season’s Committee for their tireless work, with particular thanks to Geoff Burgess and Daniel Coombs for their service as Treasurer and Secretary, Paul Kalleske and Adam Morgan for their service as Vice Presidents, and of course Peter Coombs for his continued leadership as President.
The Club has also reappointed Graeme Ashley as Statistician, Adam Seaward as Registrar, Jacob Johnson as Club Captain, and Adam Morgan as First Grade Vice Captain.
Finally, the Club acknowledges and thanks everyone who contributed to and attended the recent City of Melville Special Electors Meeting regarding the future of our second oval at John Connell Reserve.
A huge amount of work went into preparing for the meeting, securing support and representing the Club on the night — efforts that are greatly appreciated.
