Leeming Spartan Junior Cricket Club is a volunteer run community sporting club, separately run, but closely aligned with Leeming Spartan Cricket Club. The season runs from October to March.
We are committed to providing affordable and accessible cricket opportunities for school aged boys and girls, fostering a positive, inclusive, and healthy environment for personal growth and social connection. Directed by Metropolitan Junior Community Cricket (MJCC), we maintain focus on enjoyment and sportsmanship over “winning at all costs”, providing the foundation for your child to take their next cricketing step, while making lasting friendships.
Spartan Juniors start out with the Blasters program on Monday afternoons, then move to play on either Saturday or Sunday mornings, based on age group fixtures. We utilise John Connell Reserve, Peter Ellis Park, and Trevor Gribble Reserve as our home grounds in the City of Melville. Training occurs one afternoon per week, based on the volunteer availability for your team. LSJCC relies heavily on parents, guardians, and siblings to take on team Coach and Manager roles. These roles are supplemented by volunteers from LSCC and representatives from WA Cricket to provide targeted skill training at intervals during the season.
LSJCC provides pathways for your child to play Junior Premier Cricket via one of the nearby clubs, or to play senior community cricket with Leeming Spartans Cricket Club, where cricket has been enjoyed for over 100 years!
