Like a well oiled machine that keeps on ticking, we’ve got another massive event this Sunday!
Following on from last Sunday’s hugely successful Mitch Gillam Cup against the Bullcreek Leeming Football Club, we’ve got our second round of invitational T20’s in as many weeks, as we take on the Melville City Hockey Club.
One of our own in Russell Lee, who is a coach at the Club, has organised a rematch against his hockey side following their thrashing of the Spartans last February.
This means of course, that they will be keener than ever to replicate their feat from 2016, and, conversely, we will be just as determined to get a win on the board!

Once again there will be two massive games taking place from 11:30am on Sunday February 26th at John Connell Reserve!
Game one sees the Leeming Spartos taking on the best of the Melville City Hockey Club, which will be followed by game two from 2:30pm, as the Leemo Spartans take on the South Side Squelchers.
The Squelchers consist of players from a highly competitive (and as much as it pains us to say it!), very skilled Last Man Stands cricket side, meaning they certainly know how to hit a long ball.
They comfortably won last year’s clash by 105 runs and have been promoted to the afternoon shift this season.
All members, players, Sponsors, Life Members, friends and more of both the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club and Melville City Hockey Club are invited, and we need your help to make it another big day!

Of course the Spartan Bar is open all day from 11:00am until late, and we will be serving lunches and meals throughout.
The First Test between India and Australia will also be on the telly (assuming we make it to day four!), so make sure you get down to support the Spartans as they try to knock off the Melville City Hockey Club!
Players Wanted!
Spots are quickly filling up for both games, but with a few positions still available, anyone wishing to play is urged to contact Daniel Coombs on 0438 005 493 as soon as possible.
Matches are just $10.00 each, and begin at 11:30am and 2:30pm.
Players must wear their light blue Spartan training shirt along with either their white cricket pants or Spartan training shorts.
