The SMCA Years (1996-2000)

An incredible chapter in Leeming Spartan Cricket Club history occurred in early 1996, when after an incredible sixty-seven years, the Club departed the Fremantle & Districts Mercantile Cricket Association, and joined the South Suburban Cricket Association, with the aim of a future merger between the two governing bodies.

2006/07 Season Photos

Seen here are photos from our hugely successful 2006/07 season, which was highlighted by a sensational First Grade Premiership and saw the retirement of Club Legend Brian Waterer from the position of President after a record 27 years.

Hall Of Fame

The Leeming Spartan Cricket Club’s Hall of Fame was introduced in 2005 as a means to honour and recognise the extensive on-field contributions of our leading players, since our inception in 1918. See the full list here.

Read Writes The Script (2000-2002)

The year of 2000 marked the dawn of a new age for the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club, beginning right at the top as we had our first new President, Peter Read, in more than twenty years, following the record set by Brian Waterer. Learn about this chapter in Spartan history here!

Back To The Future (2002-2007)

The Club experienced a sense of déjà vu in 2002, when, after a two year term, Peter Read relinquished the Presidency and Brian Waterer returned to the position he had, incredibly, occupied for a record twenty one seasons over two stints.
