Following on from their fantastic performance yesterday, our Spartan 5th Grade has made its way into the two-day grand final next Saturday and Sunday!

It was a crushing victory for the Spartans as they posted 5/93 from 28 overs in reply to CBC’s 85 all out from 60.

Andrew Gibbs was the chief destroyer with the ball, picking up figures of 6/22 from 23 overs on day one, to leave CBC in serious trouble with just 85 runs on the board.

Leeming finished the day at 2/47 from 13, before reining in the required 39 early on day two to give them a spot in the grand final.

Russell Lee top scored with an unbeaten 28, and after scoring the winning runs, smashed a six back over the bowlers head to seal the victory!

The game was promptly discontinued after the boundary leaving the Spartans winners on first innings, and setting up a showdown with East Fremantle next weekend.

Congratulations to Dale Putland and his men, and we wish them all the best for next weekend!

Make sure you support our 5th Grade and One Day ‘C’ boys next week in their respective grand finals.

We can confirm that the C Grade will take on Piara Waters at their home ground on the corner of Wright and Nicholson Road from 12:30PM.

Our 5th Grade will likely play at Henry Jeffrey Oval at 1:00pm, but stay tuned as we announce our complete Grand Finals Guide!
