Listed below are the Leeming Spartan Player Management Committee Members for the 2016/17 Season.

The Management Committee are responsible for the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club’s more than 200 members, and will offer their support and assistance when any matters arise during the season.

As expected, this can be a hugely demanding role, and as such, we are extremely appreciative of the volunteers below who have offered to support the Club and its members.

The Spartan Management Committee will facilitate the direct passage of information from our players to the Committee to ensure that the Committee is aware of any matters that may arise during the season. This will allow the Committee to manage these issues and make important changes where necessary to ensure all of our members enjoy being a part of the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club!

The Player Management Committee is not to be confused with our Selection Panel, who manage our weekly team selections.

Our Player Representative:

The position of Player Representative is a newly established role within the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club, with the aim being to allow for communication from players at all levels direct to the Committee. This will ensure that the Committee becomes directly aware of any issues that may arise, both positive and negative, as well as any ideas and suggestions that players may have toward the betterment of the Club.

Paul KalleskePaul Kalleske

Paul currently serves as our Players Representative in 2016/17 in addition to his role as our Junior Vice President. He returns for a second consecutive season, having fulfilled the position in 2015/16, the year the Players Representative was introduced.

He has an immense knowledge of the game and of our club members, having previously worked as Club Coach and captain of our First Grade.

His incredible experience alone makes him a fine choice to take on the role of our Player Representative for the 2016/17 Season, however it is his approachability that was defining reason for his appointment to the role.

Paul’s openness to listening to the concerns of all players, regardless of their position within the club, ensures that he will bring great success to this role. He is the obvious choice for the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club’s Player Representative and we entrust that our club members will openly express their concerns to Paul and wish him all the best for his continued commitment to the position.

First Grade Manager:

The First Grade Manager is a long-standing position at the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club, implemented to ensure that the First Grade and the First Grade Squad performs to the best of their ability in all facets of the game. As such, the First Grade Manager is to be aware of any matters that may arise within the First Grade Squad are acted upon and rectified as soon (and successfully) as possible.

John IpsenJohn Ipsen

In addition to his role as Club Patron for the 2016/17 season, John will continue to work as the Manager of our First Grade squad. John has had great success in this role from previous years, and as such, he is the obvious choice for the role, which will include overseeing the performances and concerns of the First Grade side.

As a previous President of the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club, John oversaw a record-breaking period in the Club, which saw us win five First Grade premierships, further highlighting his success in building the squad.

John will act in the best interests of the entire First Grade Squad, and as such, any matters and/or concerns that players in the squad may have are undoubtedly best reported to John. Any problems and/or suggestions that arise from within the First Grade Side and the First Grade Squad will be expertly attended to by John.

We thank John immensely for his fantastic work from past seasons in fulfilling this role, and look forward to the immense effort he will continue to provide as First Grade Manager in 2016/17.
