Committee & Training Coordinator
2nd Consecutive Term – Since Season 2015/16
Dave is a longtime servant of the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club, completing his first season in 1975. Since then, he has continued to rise to the occasion, having captained more often than not, and was pivotal off the field in the Club’s famous 1992 First Grade Grand Final victory.
His efforts came to the fore in 1987 when he became a Life Member of the Club. Being awarded one of the Spartan’s highest individual honours didn’t hamper Dave’s commitment – this season marks 20 years since his Life Member induction – as he continues to work on the Committee with no signs of slowing down.
His efforts on the Committee include regularly helping out at Club events, such as our Barbeque Fundraisers, Cleanup Days, social events, and presentation evenings, continuing to set the bar in the process.
Furthermore, Dave has worked as our training coordinator since 2015, organising net sessions and fielding drills twice a week for our members. In his spare time, he is Captain of our One Day ‘F’ Grade, mentoring our younger players, and took them all the way to the semi-final in 2015/16!
Dave is an invaluable addition to the Committee and his longtime support of the Leeming Spartan Cricket Club is to be admired, and we are honoured to have his continued support in this exciting new era!
